Béligh Elbalti has been an associate professor at the Graduate School of Law and Politics at Osaka University since April 2017. He teaches Japanese law, comparative law and private international law, among other subjects. He holds one LL.M. from Tunisia (2008) and another from Japan (2011). He earned his Doctor of Law degree at the Graduate School of Law at Kyoto University in 2014. He is the author of a number of scholarly articles and case notes, notably in the field of private international law (international jurisdiction, the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and choice of law).
