Administrative Provisions on Services for Internet Forums and Communities entered into force on 1 Oct. 2017.
There are 13 articles in total. The Provisions aim to regulate activities that engage in services for Internet forums and communities within the territory of China.
Services for Internet forums and communities refer to services that provide interactive information release community platforms on the Internet in forms such as forums, post bars, and communities.
The Cyberspace Administration of China and its local government counterparts are the regulatory authorities of the area.
Service providers shall authenticate users’ real identity information.
Service providers and their users shall not post illegal content.
Service providers shall establish and improve information safety management systems for information examination, real-time patrol on public information, emergence response, and personal information protection, among others.
