Administrative Measures for the Archival of Non-commercial Internet-based Information Services entered into force on 20 Mar. 2005.
There are 29 articles in total. The Measures aim to regulate activities that provide non-commercial Internet-based information services within the territory of China. Key points of the Measures are as follows:
- Administrative Measures on Internet-based Information Services stipulate that services providers who engage in non-commercial Internet-based service shall file with the regulatory authorities for the record, while the Measures stipulate how to go through the record-filing procedures.
- The information filed by the service providers includes website URL, website sponsors, persons in charge of the website, IP address, and other information.
- Service providers shall mark its filing number on the bottom of their website.
- Internet access service providers shall not provide access services for un-filed websites.
