The Administrative Regulations on Financial Information Services entered into force on 1 Feb. 2019.
There are 17 articles in total, which aim to regulate financial information services. The key points are as follows:
- Financial information services refer to the services that provide information and/or financial data that may affect the financial market to users engaged in financial analysis, financial transactions, financial decision-making, or other financial activities.
- The Cyberspace Administration of China and its local government counterparts are the regulatory authorities in this field.
- The financial information service provider shall obtain the corresponding qualification before engaging in the Internet-based news and information services, and shall ensure the authenticity, objectivity and legality of the financial information.
