The Opinions on the Facilitation of Trademark Registration entered into force on 14 July 2016.

There are 23 articles in total, which aim to facilitate the trademark registration.

The key points are as follows:

1. The Trademark Bureau will launch the online trademark application.

2. The Trademark Bureau will further shorten the trademark examination time based on the previous statutory period (nine months) for trademark examination.

3. The Trademark Bureau will shorten the time for issuing the notice of acceptance of trademark registration application from about six months to less than three months.
