Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Sound Development of Internet Finance entered into force on 18 July 2015.
There are 3 parts and 18 articles in total. The Opinions aim to regulate Internet finance and promote its development. Key points of the opinions are as follows:
- Actively promote the innovation of Internet financial platforms, products and services.
- Each regulatory authority regulates Internet payment, Internet lending, equity crowdfunding, Internet fund sales, Internet insurance, Internet trust, and Internet consumer finance within their respective terms of reference.
- Practitioners should be subject to supervision in aspects such as customer fund management, information disclosure, consumer rights protection, network security, and anti-money laundering.
