The Specialized Farmers Cooperatives Law was promulgated in 2006 and amended in 2017 respectively. The latest revision entered into force on July 1, 2018.

The key points are as follows:
1.Specialized farmers cooperatives as mentioned herein refer to the mutual-help economic organizations joined voluntarily and managed in a democratic manner by the producers and operators of farm products or by the providers or users of services for agricultural production and operation.
2.A farmers’ professional cooperative shall observe the following principles:
(1) Mainly consisting of farmers;
(2) object of serving its members and pursuing the common interests of all members;
(3) voluntary joining and free withdrawal;
(4) equality of members and democratic management;
(5) refunding surplus in proportion to the volume (amount) of transactions with its members.
