The Chinese government plans to implement the “Work Plan for the Special Action of Severely Cracking Down on the Illegal Application of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)” from June to December 2023. The plan aims to crack down on the trade of gametes, zygotes, and embryos in any form, as well as the illegal application of ART, such as surrogacy and the illegal collection and donation of eggs.

In May 2023, China issued the “Interim Regulations for Managing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Flight”, which will take effect from 1 Jan. 2024. An airworthiness permit from the civil aviation authority of the State Council is required for any entities engaged in the design, production, import, flight, and maintenance of medium and large civil UAV systems.
